Author's classes on Olympiad mathematics

Hello everyone! It's so great when my young colleagues make drawings based on our problems. The very diversely gifted Leon from Amsterdam drew a wonderful illustration for the following problem:
Aliens have arrived on our beautiful Earth. Seven of them. They have 5 or 8 limbs - "hand-legs". They were walking, enjoying the views and having a great time. Then someone gave them a big scare. This happens to us. Without thinking twice, they dropped their "hand-legs" and flew away to be on the safe side. (Notice how cheerfully the departing alien sticks out his tongue). There are 44 limbs left on Earth. How many of what aliens have arrived? People spoiled by school education can start thinking about systems of equations, etc. Don't do that. An eight-year-old person is quite capable of solving this problem in his head, if you approach it correctly.

A more complex version. Here you need to know a few things. There were 123,123 aliens, and 797,797 limbs were found. Can this be? I repeat, this is a verbal problem))
