Beginner violin groups
Hello everyone!
I am a musician, a violin teacher. I repatriated with my family in March of this year. We have been living in Jerusalem since August, but it feels like we have been here for a long time. Now I am opening a recruitment for groups of beginner violinists using the unique author's method of a wonderful Tver teacher - Stepan Ovanesovich Miltonyan.
I invite children from about 5 years of age to groups of 2 - 4 people. Mothers, grandmothers and other caring adults are also very welcome in the lessons. Each group member develops at their own pace, gradually acquiring basic playing skills. Children learn to communicate with the help of music. At first, the simplest improvisation with classmates ensures a more respectful attitude to classical musical texts in the future. At the same time, when recording the first improvisations, basic musical literacy is naturally trained. Well, of course, in a group it is much easier to work on developing a sense of rhythm and musical ear.
The lessons will take place at our home in East Talpiot or at one of the group members' (by arrangement). I am currently teaching in Russian, but in the near future I hope to also form a group in Hebrew.
I met Stepan Ovanesovich and his method back in the late 90s, when I first attended an open group lesson at the pedagogical practice department at the Tver Music College. Ten years later, I was lucky enough to attend group lessons in Tver for several years when my daughter was studying with him, and to assist him in lessons in other groups. Then, using his method, I created "violin circles" for beginners at regular Moscow schools and at home. I also have experience working in a children's music school, so I will be happy to work with students of any age individually. But his method of "harmonious development of a violinist", it seems to me, may well take root among Israeli children in the first years of learning the instrument. I will be glad to answer any questions in PM and by phone 0557733774
And thank you very much if you share this post.
Also, I will be very grateful to Israeli teachers and all sympathizers for the names of Hebrew children's songs within the tetrachord, on which children can conveniently learn to intonate. Of course, we can write whatever we want ourselves, but if suddenly we can play something long familiar, that is also very nice.
In the comment, I leave a link to the YouTube channel of Stepan Ovanesovich Miltonian with his latest seminar for string teachers in Syktyvkar. There you can find a detailed description of the method and the history of its origin.
