Online lectures for children.

A holistic picture of world culture - from which side should we approach this? Literature, painting, theater, philosophy, myths... It is impossible to grasp the immensity. But we'll try. History of world culture for children of primary and secondary school age. Yes, Socrates, Dante, Leonardo, and Charlie Chaplin will become our heroes. But the most important thing is that we will try to show how everything is connected with each other - both different countries with each other, and the past with the present. Classes are held in the form of a lecture-dialogue.

First four lectures:

1. How it all started. How did the culture appear?

2. Fairy tales, poems and, of course, mummies. Ancient Egypt.

3. Mesopotamia. The Flood and the Flower of Immortality.

4. Canaan, Judea, Phenicia. Books and ships.

From 12.05, on Sundays at 16:00 and on Mondays (repeat) at 17:00.

Classes last 45 minutes. The course will have 32 lessons. 8 blocks of 4 lessons.

Lesson cost: 30 sh ($10; 700 rub.)

Entry fee: 25 sh ($8; 600 rub.)

Cost of the block (4 lessons): 80 sh ($25; 2000 rub.)

Course cost (32 lessons): 600 sh ($170; 12,000 rub.)

Lecturer Olga Butkova, PhD in Cultural Studies, taught at VGIK for many years and was an art lecturer at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.
